I just got off the phone with an old friend from Detroit, Archie. He let me know that an equally dear friend, Ellen, suffered from a burst brain aneurysm the other day. She's in critical care in a drug induced coma to combat brain swelling. The bleeding has been stopped. She's been given a 40% chance of recovery. Doctors need up to 2 weeks before making a decision.
My meditations are with her, now.

When it rains it pours, eh?
I'm hoping for a full recovery for Ellen, and a rapid transition whichever way it plays out.
You can say that again! This has been one hell of a week. Stop the world! I want to get off, now.
