Coding standards

This article on SitePoint is from a 16 year old kid. In one sense, it's pretty impressive that a 16 year old boy can take time off from masturbating long enough to think through issues of a group of people writing code. On the other hand, anyone who has worked in a group or organization and had to go through someone else's code can understand a coding standard is desirable. This is going to become more true in the SQL world (in which I practice) as Microsoft's next server will allow people to write some code in VB, C, C++, C#, etc - just like their other .NET products.
