This didn't take long. Microsoft announced holes in it's applications that could be exploited with code implanted in JPEGs on September 14th. Patches were also made available. A week later code appeared on the internet that demonstrated how to exploit the holes in the applications. ZDNet reports today that just such a virus is spreading through AOL chats. It's a small infection thus far.
