The GOP in Missouri is voting to discontinue the distribution of birth control in state clinics. Actually, they voted it down in 2003, but they got an opportunity to clearly state their position yesterday:
"If you hand out contraception to single women, we're saying promiscuity is OK as a state, and I am not in support of that," Phillips, R-Kansas City, said in an interview. For the record, the vote was 96-59 against the distribution funding. I've long suspected that the real agenda behind many in the so-called "Pro Life" (I call it 'Secretly Pro Death Cult') community was to not stop at just abortion, but to also dispose of contraception as well. Heck, the Roman Catholic Church has made the same argument for years.
